Our "Service Charge" falls under Tier I and Tier II pricing. Tier I pricing is applied for Standard Appliances = $114.95 plus NC County Sales Tax. Tier II pricing is applied for "Hi-end" and/or "built-in" appliances, stacked laundry appliances and all gas appliances, gas lines and gas logs = $144.95 plus NC County Sales Tax. This fee includes our trip to your home and the diagnosis of your problem. After diagnosis is completed and you agree to the repair, we will factor in the service charge into the final fee. This final invoice will be the sum of the service charge + parts + labor + tax.
Our "2nd appliance fees" have increased by $5.00.
While we haven't raised our prices in over 8 years, we hope these increases are minor enough for our customers to balance as the cost of parts, materials, shipping and the cost of living has risen considerably. We appreciate your support and patience. Our promise to you is to continue to deliver the best service possible.
The benefit to the customer of such a system is full transparency in the pricing procedure and the ability to make an informed decision by knowing the exact cost of the job ahead of time. There are no hidden fees, no charge for extra time and no charge for additional trips. This method of pricing protects our customers.
Can you quote me a price over the phone?
Diagnosis is something that can only be done in person, and diagnosis is the first step in determining the price of a repair. There are far too many variables to be able to give an accurate diagnosis or price over the phone. We want to be sure we are giving you 100% accurate information and for this reason, it is our policy to only quote a price once our appliance technician has diagnosed your problem in person.
Are your repairs guaranteed?
All of our repairs are backed by a 90-Day guarantee on labor. Any parts used will have their individual manufacturer's warranty.
What type of payment do you accept?
"BAR" accepts cash, local bank personal checks, and all major credit and debit cards. Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover. We process credit card payments on the spot with the use of our cellular phones and a swiper device issued by Quickbooks Merchant Services, as well as over the telephone through our office. Credit card payments are processed using our QuickBooks Merchant Services Processing Center Online. With the customer's permission, we are able to save credit card information to our QuickBooks software safely, but do not require this for service, unless the customer can't be at their home or business at the time of service. We do not store card numbers on our software "RazorSync". We do not share or sell personal information. Our software is "cloud-based" for your and our protection. Payment is due at the time of service.
Can you send me a bill?
We do not use an invoicing service so we request that payment is made when the job is complete. To make this as convenient as possible, we accept cash, local checks, credit cards and debit cards. A receipt will be issued via e-mail immediately at the time of payment and/or printed on site by our Appliance Technician.
Do you sell new or used appliances?
Our focus is appliance repair and do not sell new or used appliances. If we deem your appliance is beyond repair, we will suggest a local retail appliance store for purchases.
Do you sell parts?
We do not stock parts for resale, only for repairs.
Do you service (HVAC) central heating and air units? Or do any plumbing?
No, only gas fireplaces, logs, inserts and space heaters. We'll be happy to refer you to the appropriate contractors.
